The quintet, entitled My Journey to America, is a suite of seven short movements, each preceded by a spoken narrative by Yousufi, describing his journey from his dramatic birth story in Kabul to becoming a refugee in New York City.

Grace sonata is the first guitar sonata in the history of Afghanistan which was commissioned by Joseph Douglass as part of his graduation recital and premiered in Manhattan School of Music on . Grace is a sonata in 3 movements which is inspired by one of Milad Yousufi's calligraphy painting projected in background.
